CIRCLEVILLE, August 13, 2024 — Circleville police responded to a series of incidents throughout the city on August 12, 2024. The day’s calls included a mix of traffic issues, disturbances, and several checks for well-being and safety.

  • Domestic Trouble: At 12:34 a.m., officers were dispatched to a domestic trouble call on US Route 23. A report was taken.
  • Assault: At 2:36 a.m., an assault was reported on South Washington Street. The incident is under investigation.
  • Extra Patrols: Regular extra patrols were conducted on US 23 South, Pontious Road, and Sycamore Drive. All areas were checked and deemed secure.
  • Fire Reports: A fire on US Route 23 was cleared by 6:39 a.m., while a fire on South Walnut Street required mutual aid from the Circleville Fire Department. The situation was handled on scene, and no transport was needed.
  • Well-Being Check: At 10:48 a.m., a well-being check was conducted on Claire Court. The individual was found to be okay.
