COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter continues to make its mark in agricultural education, with several members achieving prestigious honors this year. At the recent Ohio FFA Convention, three A-C FFA members—Braeleigh Blosser, Carley Claypool, and Peter Smith—were awarded the State FFA Degree. Additionally, Riley McKeska and Hannah Saum have been approved for the American FFA Degree.
The State FFA Degree is one of the highest accolades a state FFA chapter can confer, recognizing members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs) and maintained strong academic records. Blosser, Claypool, and Smith were honored at the Fifth General Session of the Ohio FFA Convention, representing the top 2% of the state’s more than 29,000 FFA members.
The American FFA Degree is an even higher distinction, awarded by the National FFA Organization. It requires members to show extensive involvement and investment in their SAE projects over a minimum of four years. Riley McKeska and Hannah Saum, both graduate members of the A-C FFA Chapter, have been approved for this esteemed degree by the state of Ohio. Their applications will now undergo a national review, with final approval expected at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this fall.
Achieving the American FFA Degree is a remarkable feat, with less than 1% of FFA members nationwide earning this honor each year. It signifies a significant level of dedication and hard work in agricultural education.
Congratulations are extended to all State and American Degree recipients from the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter for their outstanding achievements and commitment to excellence in agriculture.
