New Holland, OH — On the evening of August 20, 2024, a routine traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Front Street led to the arrest of a suspect with an outstanding felony warrant. The incident unfolded at approximately 10:25 PM when officers from the New Holland Police Department initiated a stop on a vehicle.
During the stop, a female passenger, identified as 32-year-old Brooke A. Beatty from Waverly, fled the scene. The male driver was detained at the location while deputies from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, including their K9 unit, were called in to assist in the search for the fleeing suspect.
Thanks to the prompt and effective efforts of the Pickaway County deputies, Beatty was located and apprehended without further incident. She faces charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was subsequently transported to the Ross County Jail. The male driver was issued a citation and released.
