Hillsboro, Ohio — Two men from Hillsboro have been apprehended in connection with the 2020 murder of an 18-year-old in Adams County. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Adams County Sheriff Kimmy Rogers, and Adams County Prosecutor Aaron Haslam announced the arrests today.
Jordan Comer, 22, and Latyran “Ty” Haithcock, 25, were taken into custody this morning without incident. Arrest warrants issued last Friday allege that Comer and Haithcock were involved in the death of Boston Bloomfield on August 25, 2020. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Palmer Road in Seaman, a village within Adams County.
The arrests conclude a thorough investigation led by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, with significant contributions from the Highland County Task Force, Highland County Prosecutor’s Office, and Highland County Sheriff’s Office.
The apprehension of Comer and Haithcock was carried out with the assistance of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington Court House Police Department. Comer is currently held at the Adams County Jail, while Haithcock is detained at the Fayette County Jail. The case will be reviewed by the Adams County Prosecutor’s Office and presented to a grand jury for further proceedings.
The defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
