CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – A Chillicothe man was arrested on August 26, 2024, after causing a disturbance at Sam’s Club, where he was reported to have exposed himself and used offensive language towards customers.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the store after receiving complaints about a male exhibiting inappropriate behavior both inside the store and in the parking lot. Upon arrival, Officer Lance Canterbury encountered the suspect near the gas pumps. The man, wearing a camouflage jacket, was found with his pants down past his knees (though not exposing any genitals) and was loudly yelling at patrons. He also exhibited a strong odor of alcohol.

The suspect refused to identify himself or provide any personal information, and continued to shout profanities and incoherent statements. As a result, he was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication and Obstruction.

The man was initially booked under the name “John Doe” due to his refusal to provide identification. However, a subsequent investigation revealed his true identity as Robert K. Hawks. The charges have since been refiled under Hawks’ correct name.

The case remains under investigation, and further details will be provided as they become available.
