Circleville, OH — The Circleville Department of Public Utilities is set to begin its annual hydrant flushing program on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. This initiative aims to clean the city’s water main lines and ensure optimal water quality.
The program will start in the Island Road area and move northeast. Once the northern section, extending roughly from Hargus Creek northward, is completed, crews will shift to the southern area, working in a southeastern direction.
Flushing operations are scheduled to last approximately two weeks, taking place on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this period, residents may experience occasional water discoloration. It is advised to check the water quality before use, particularly before doing laundry with white clothing.
For any questions or concerns, residents can reach the Utility Department at 740-477-8255, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The department appreciates the public’s cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
