Pickaway County — A tragic head-on collision on US-62 south of TR-159 (Ballah Road) claimed lives on Monday, September 16, 2024. The crash occurred around 2:00 P.M. and involved two vehicles: a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2022 Ford Ecosport.
According to the Circleville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound when it veered left of center, colliding head-on with the Ford Ecosport, which was heading northbound. The severity of the crash has resulted in fatalities, although specific details are still being confirmed.
Emergency responders from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, Mount Sterling Joint Fire and EMS, Tri County Fire and EMS, and the Ohio Department of Transportation were on the scene to provide assistance. The Pickaway County Coroner’s Office and the County Prosecutor’s Office also responded to the incident.
