COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested three individuals from different states after seizing 6 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Shelby County. The drugs, valued at approximately $24,000, were discovered on September 14 at around 12:05 p.m.

The stop involved a 2012 Hyundai Sonata with Tennessee plates, which was pulled over on Interstate 75 for a moving violation. During the stop, troopers noted suspicious behavior and deployed a drug-sniffing canine, which alerted them to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the methamphetamine.

The driver, Levi Eastgate, 24, from Saltville, Virginia, and passengers Holly Ramey, 25, from Kingsport, Tennessee, and Damion J. Fryer, 29, from Detroit, were taken into custody. They have been charged with aggravated trafficking and possession of schedule I or II drugs, both first-degree felonies.

If convicted, each could face up to 33 years in prison and fines of up to $40,000. The individuals are currently being held at the Shelby County Jail as the investigation continues.
