Chillicothe Police Report Highlights Varied Incidents on September 18, 2024

Chillicothe, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department recorded a range of incidents on September 18, 2024, including traffic violations, thefts, and other disturbances.

The day began with a traffic stop at 1:56 AM involving a red Ford SUV, where investigations are still pending. Shortly thereafter, at 2:09 AM, officers stopped a vehicle on South Bridge Street for having no tail lights and found the driver was operating under a suspended license.

A reported theft at 61 North Bridge Street was dispatched at 2:59 AM, while at 5:17 AM, a complaint of criminal mischief was logged from 347 Vine Street.

By 7:47 AM, police responded to a found bicycle on East Water Street. Mid-morning saw increased activity, including a threat complaint at Chillicothe Middle School, which is under investigation.

Officers also dealt with multiple warrants and protection order violations throughout the day. A theft complaint at 540 Forest Lane was reported at 11:34 AM, and later, a traffic stop led to the discovery of another driver operating under suspension.

In the afternoon, police responded to a death investigation on Church Street, which was ruled non-suspicious. Officers continued to address disorderly conduct complaints at Sherman Park and a theft at Walgreens later that evening.

The day concluded with several traffic stops, including one for an obstructed license plate. In total, the department managed 24 records of incidents, showcasing their ongoing commitment to community safety and responsiveness.
