Chillicothe Police Report: Multiple Incidents Logged on September 27

Chillicothe, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to several incidents on September 27, 2024, involving drug possession, disorderly conduct, theft, and traffic violations.

Drug Possession and Traffic Violations
At 3:22 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Mechanic Street, resulting in charges for possession of drugs and operating a vehicle without a valid license. A citation was issued later in the day for a traffic violation related to a red light and driving under suspension due to unpaid fines on Western Avenue.

Disorderly Conduct
Multiple reports of disorderly conduct were logged throughout the day. At 4:17 a.m., police were dispatched to a potential domestic dispute at 780 Madison Avenue. Another disorderly conduct complaint came in around noon on East Main Street, and the investigation into both incidents is ongoing. Additionally, a disorderly situation at Chillicothe Primary School was reported at 11:21 a.m.

Theft and Trespassing
The department is investigating a theft of a firearm reported at Hardin Drive around 11:25 a.m. and a possible burglary on Jefferson Avenue at 11:47 a.m. Another theft complaint was received later in the evening at Walmart, prompting further investigation.

Traffic Incidents
Officers dealt with multiple traffic-related incidents, including a hit-skip accident at the intersection of West 5th Street and Pohlman Road, with investigations continuing into the circumstances. A separate accident involving failure to control a vehicle was also reported on Carlisle Hill.

Ongoing Investigations
The police are actively investigating several non-criminal complaints and have referred a case regarding a possible juvenile video to further authorities.
