Circleville, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to a series of incidents throughout the city on October 1, 2024, as part of their regular patrol and community safety operations.

The day began with traffic stops, including a warning issued at 12:29 AM on North Court Street and another at 8:49 PM on East Ohio Street. Officers also attended to multiple calls involving suspicious persons and circumstances. A report of a suspicious individual on South Court at 2:00 AM was documented but did not result in any formal report. Similarly, concerns about suspicious circumstances were investigated at 10:19 PM on Pontious Lane.

Throughout the day, several alarms were triggered, with officers checking and confirming the safety of locations on Atwater Avenue, East Union Street, West Main Street, and North Court Street, all of which were deemed secure.

In terms of traffic incidents, multiple non-injury accidents were reported on US Route 23, with one call canceled before officers arrived. Information was gathered from the scene, and further incidents were handled by other agencies.

A theft was reported on East Franklin Street, prompting an official report, while additional incidents, such as a civil complaint on South Pickaway Street and juvenile complaints on East Franklin Street and Meadow Drive, resulted in officers being unable to locate individuals involved.

The department also responded to calls concerning threats and harassment at Renick Avenue and Half Avenue, leading to one report being filed.
