Chillicothe, OH – A range of incidents were reported to the Chillicothe Police Department on October 2, 2024, highlighting a busy night for local law enforcement.

Disorderly Conduct and Harassment Complaints
At approximately 1:37 AM, officers responded to a harassment complaint at 519 E 2nd St. Further investigation is ongoing. Shortly after, at 1:41 AM, police were dispatched to 28 N. Paint Street regarding an outstanding warrant; details are still being gathered.

Traffic Violations
Around 2:14 AM, a driver was stopped on E 5th St for failing to yield the right of way and operating a vehicle without a valid license. An accident was also reported at 5:31 AM on Church St, with details pending.

Felonious Assault and Unruly Child Incident
At 7:15 AM, a serious incident involving felonious assault and an unruly child was reported on N. Brownell St. Investigations are ongoing, with police actively following leads.

Sexual Assault Investigation
Officers received a referral regarding a juvenile rape case from Highland County JFS. It appears the incident may have occurred outside Chillicothe’s jurisdiction and has been forwarded for further review.

Trespassing and Resisting Arrest
A report of criminal trespass at Speedway on E Main St at 4:07 AM led to further investigations. A male suspect was also reported to be uncooperative with police at the same location, prompting charges of resisting arrest.

Shoplifting and Theft
Police responded to multiple theft incidents, including a report from Walmart at 3:00 PM concerning shoplifting in progress. Another attempted theft was reported later in the day on Vine St.

Traffic Citations
A driver, identified as Gerald McDonald, was issued a citation for failing to yield while exiting a private drive at Golden Corral. He was advised of a court date set for October 11.

Additional Incidents
Several other incidents were reported throughout the day, including multiple warrant checks, probation violations, and a report of an assault at 319 S Paint St.
