CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at around 7:51 PM near North Mulberry Street.
Officers arrived at the scene to find damage to both a residence and a vehicle, alongside evidence of firearm discharge. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Authorities apprehended two suspects identified as the shooters. They are Malachi Beatty, a 20-year-old from Chillicothe, who faces charges of felonious assault, with additional charges pending. A 15-year-old juvenile, also from Chillicothe, is facing recommended charges of felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon, and discharging a firearm into a habitation.
