Ross County — The grand Jury returned all 15 of their cases on Friday, October 11th, 2024, with two open for release to the public. From testimony in the the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:
On July 25th, a Ross County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on Massieville Road for a driver doing 66 mph in a 40 zone.
As the driver was slowing, the deputy saw him move about and throw something out his window.
That turned out to be 0.40 grams of methamphetamine. (Since it was meth, the possession of drugs charge was raised to “aggravated.”)
For indictments on aggravated possession of drugs, 39-year-old Albert D. Penrod of Potts Hill Road could get up to one year and $2,500 in fines.
