Philip E. Brown, 87, of Circleville, passed away peacefully, October 11, 2024 at his home after an extended illness. He was born June 15, 1937 in Circleville, the son of Karl T. and Mary Alice (Bartholomew) Brown. He attended Walnut Township School Class of 1955. Phil served his country in the U.S Army from 1960-62. He spent 55 years in construction, most recently as a superintendent with Kokosing from 1976-2009 when he retired after 33 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dr. William T. Brown. Phil is survived by his wife Barbara (Warrens) Brown, daughters Kim (Craig) Wellman and Karen (Jeff) Wagner, grandchildren Cara (Jason Radcliff) Mayhugh, Brandon (Darci Boller) Maynard and Shane (Taylor Singletary) Stone, great grandchildren Slade, Teigan and Tatum and nieces Melissa and Louann. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 15, 2024 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Butch Cooper officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 3-7 Monday. A special thanks to Ashley Anderson and his wonderful nurses, Haskell, Don, John and Albert from the Department of Energy as well as Adena Hospice, who kept him comfortable at home.
