CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) responded to a series of incidents on October 17, 2024, involving traffic violations, disorderly conduct, and other offenses.

  • Traffic Stops:
    • At 1:27 a.m. on East Main Street, officers conducted a traffic stop for a driver suspected of operating under suspension. The investigation is ongoing (Case PD-P2405843).
    • A traffic stop on South Bridge Street at 8:25 a.m. revealed fictitious plates and another driver under suspension (Case PD-P2405845).
    • Later, at 11:28 a.m. on Eastern Avenue, officers stopped a vehicle for similar offenses, leading to the issuance of a citation (Case PD-P2405851).
  • Disorderly Conduct:
    • Officers were called to the Law Director’s Office regarding a report from Teresa Wood about a disorderly incident involving Julia Thomas, who allegedly left a note and a gavel outside the office (Case PD-P2405844).
    • A domestic dispute was reported at an apartment on Pyleys Lane (Case PD-P2405849), and another disorderly complaint was filed on East Second Street later that evening (Case PD-P2405867).
  • Drug-Related Incidents:
    • Police encountered a male with drug paraphernalia during a disturbance at East Water Street (Case PD-P2405848). A theft of medication was also reported at Walmart on River Trace Lane (Case PD-P2405862).
  • Juvenile Incidents:
    • A juvenile was reported as wanted at a residence on West Seventh Street (Case PD-P2405854), and officers investigated a potential overdose involving minors on North Sugar Street (Case PD-P2405863).
  • Non-Criminal Complaints:
    • Officers handled complaints of extended parking on South Paint Street (Case PD-P2405852) and a parking complaint on North Sugar Street (Case PD-P2405864).
