Fayette County, Ohio – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at approximately 9:28 PM. The incident occurred at the Flagway (Cruz Thru) located on State Route 41N.
According to reports, a suspect dressed in dark clothing, including a Carhartt hooded sweatshirt and a black face covering, entered the store brandishing a handgun. The individual demanded cash and cigarettes. Based on descriptions provided by the clerk, authorities believe the suspect may be female.
Fortunately, the clerk was unharmed during the incident. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and several cartons of cigarettes, last seen exiting the store on foot.
Officers from the Washington Court House Police Department responded to assist deputies at the scene.
