Chillicothe police handled a busy day of incidents on November 4, 2024, responding to a variety of calls, including a stolen vehicle report, disorderly conduct complaints, and multiple traffic-related incidents.
The day began with a trespassing complaint at 4:33 AM on North Bridge Street. Officers arrived at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. The same street saw another call just minutes later, at 12:34 PM, when a traffic crash was reported at the intersection of North Bridge and Burbridge Streets. The incident involved a right-of-way violation when turning left, and no injuries were reported.
At 12:36 PM, officers were called to 1049 Columbus Street in response to a threats complaint, where two individuals were reportedly engaged in a verbal altercation. Meanwhile, just a few minutes earlier, a suspicious person was reported at Poland Park (South Hickory Street and Burbridge Street), with the investigation still ongoing.
By 12:56 PM, police were investigating a motor vehicle theft in the 1600 block of North Bridge Street. The investigation into the stolen vehicle is open and ongoing. Another traffic-related incident occurred shortly thereafter, around 2:19 PM, when a non-injury crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 159 and North Bridge Street near Pawnee Road.
The afternoon continued with police serving two warrants for Tony Wilson Jr. at the Ross County Jail around 3:22 PM, followed by a reported assault at 3:30 PM on South Renick Avenue. Officers are continuing their investigation into the assault.
Later in the day, at King Street, officers responded to a fight at 6:07 PM, while just three minutes later, at 757 Madison Avenue, they dealt with a disorderly incident that led to a menacing charge against Brandon Wells. Wells was issued a summons after a hand injury was reported in connection with the altercation. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
At 7:24 PM, a traffic stop on Ewing Street for expired vehicle registration led to the issuance of a citation. The officers also responded to a disorderly conduct call at 8:59 PM on North Sugar Street, though details are still under investigation.
With a total of 13 cases reported throughout the day, the Chillicothe Police Department continues to investigate several incidents, including thefts, assaults, and traffic accidents, while maintaining public safety and responding to community concerns.
