Ross County – Lifetime Resident of Ross County has won a County Commissioner seat tonight, winning by almost 30 points.
As County Commissioner Glass promised voters that he would be part of the, “new generation,” of Commissioners for Ross County.
“We are building a grassroots campaign across every corner of Ross County,” said Glass to his supporters, “and we need your help to spread a message of a bright future, focused on working together to bring opportunity to Ross County!”
Republican Glass won 20,432 votes in Ross County covering 65% of the votes, while his opponent Democrat March Hirsch garnered only 10,963 votes holding 35% of the votes.
Glass spoke with his supporters about the need for planning and collaboration in Ross County. Touting his experience and career in economic development, he expressed the need to attract and retain well-paying jobs and address workforce concerns in the county. A father of four, Glass highlighted the need to be future-oriented, recognizing that the decisions & investments we make today will be for the benefit of the next generation.
“I am confident in his ability to bring positive change and effective leadership to our community,” said Ross County Treasurer David Jeffers, endorsing Glass in his race for County Commissioner.
During his career, Glass has served in roles with organizatons such as the Ohio Department of (Economic) Development, the Office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Assistant Director of Pickaway County Economic Development (Pickaway Progress Partnership), and most recently leading economic development & business growth for South Central Power Company.
Glass is an active member in the community, serving organizations such as the Ross County Farm Bureau & Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, St. Peter Catholic Church, the Ross County Republican Party, and regionally in the Ohio Republican Party & Ohio Young Republican Federation; and is active in boards and professional organizations across the region.
