Chillicothe police responded to a range of incidents throughout the city on November 13, 2024, including traffic violations, thefts, warrants, and disturbances. The day saw multiple arrests, investigations into criminal activity, and a number of non-criminal reports.
The first call of the day came at 5:17 a.m. on North Bridge Street, where an officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding and issued a citation. Shortly after, at 5:25 a.m., police were dispatched to 28 North Paint Street regarding a warrant investigation, which is ongoing.
Around 7:39 a.m., an injury crash occurred at the intersection of East Water Street and North Brownell Street. Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
At 9:21 a.m., police responded to a towed vehicle report on North Bridge Street, and later that morning, at 11:15 a.m., a theft was reported on River Trace Lane, with an investigation underway. Another theft, this time from a Kroger store on North Bridge Street, was reported at 12:41 p.m., and police continue to look into the matter.
Later in the afternoon, at 1:41 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle driven by Danny Davis, whose driver’s license was found to be suspended. Davis was cited for driving under suspension (DUS) and is scheduled to appear in court on November 22, 2024.
A series of additional calls followed, including a report of an unruly juvenile at 3:15 p.m. on Brennan Road and a complex incident involving theft and several charges, including forgery and obstructing official business, at 3:22 p.m. on River Trace Lane. Investigations into both matters are ongoing.
Police also responded to theft reports at First Capital Recovery on East Main Street at 4:28 p.m., as well as another warrant-related arrest at 5:03 p.m. Officers apprehended Terry Stokley after spotting his vehicle near the Valero gas station on North Bridge Street. Stokley was arrested for an active domestic violence warrant and was transported to the Ross County Jail.
As evening approached, police dealt with a missing juvenile report at 8:39 p.m. on Scioto Avenue, and at 9:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disorderly conduct call on West Fifth Street. Later, at 10:36 p.m., a criminal trespassing complaint was reported on Western Avenue, which remains under investigation.
The night ended with a criminal trespassing call at 11:27 p.m. at the Pilot gas station on East Main Street.
Overall, the Chillicothe Police Department handled a busy day, responding to a variety of incidents, from traffic violations and thefts to criminal trespassing and warrants. Investigations into several of the reports are ongoing.
