Circleville Police Report: Theft, Traffic Stops, and Other Incidents Recorded on November 18, 2024

Circleville, OH (November 19, 2024) – The Circleville Police Department responded to a variety of incidents on November 18, 2024, ranging from traffic violations and thefts to disturbances and a trespassing arrest.

At 12:08 a.m., officers responded to a call on US 23 regarding threats and harassment. A report was taken, though no further details were released. Less than 30 minutes later, at 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Harrison Street, issuing a warning to the driver.

Later that evening, at 12:52 a.m., police made an arrest for trespassing on US 23. While further details of the arrest were not disclosed, the incident prompted an investigation into the circumstances.

At 2:17 a.m., police were dispatched to a report of a fire on Clinton Street. However, by the time officers arrived, the fire was no longer visible, and the call was marked as “Gone On Arrival/Unable to Locate.”

A series of traffic stops throughout the day included multiple warnings and citations, particularly on N Court Street, S Court Street, and US 23. One notable citation occurred at 7:46 a.m. on N Court Street, where officers stopped a vehicle and issued a ticket.

There were also reports of suspicious activity throughout the day. At 8:13 a.m., police responded to a suspicious person report on S Pickaway Street, and at 9:26 a.m., officers investigated a theft incident on S Court Street, which prompted a formal report.

Later in the afternoon, at 12:20 p.m., police took a report related to an outstanding warrant on Ohio 559. At 3:54 p.m., a juvenile complaint was handled, though no report was taken, and another civil problem was addressed on Walnut Street at 2:55 p.m., with no report filed.

A theft was reported at 8:52 p.m. on Logan Street, and the department took a report on the incident.

Other calls during the day included noise complaints, alarm drops, and disturbances, with most of these incidents resolved without the need for further investigation or report filings. Officers also responded to a pair of 911 hang-ups on Ringgold-Fairfield Road and N Court Street, both of which were marked as “Gone On Arrival/Unable to Locate.”
