The Circleville Police Department responded to a range of incidents over the weekend, including traffic violations, accidents, and thefts, as well as calls involving domestic disputes and disturbances.

Notable Incidents:

  • November 22, 2024: Officers responded to multiple traffic-related issues, issuing warnings for various offenses including speeding and failure to maintain lanes. The department also investigated a fraud case on W Main St., and responded to a non-injury accident on Plaza Dr. Later in the evening, a breaking and entering was reported on Faye Ave.
  • November 23, 2024: Authorities investigated an injury accident on Brooke Park Dr. The same day, a disturbance was reported on Lee Ct. and a suspicious person was noted on E Ohio St. A series of traffic stops occurred throughout the day, with officers issuing citations for violations on streets such as SR 104, E Main St., and S Court St.
  • November 24, 2024: Officers continued to monitor various incidents, including a stolen vehicle report on Turner Dr. and a vandalism report on E High St. Traffic stops continued to be a focal point, with several warnings issued. Police also responded to a neighbor trouble call on E Ohio St. and assisted with a fire mutual aid request on Tarlton Rd. A theft was reported on W Franklin St., and the department also responded to a 911 hang-up on W Main St.

Other Calls:

  • Several well-being checks were performed, with officers either checking the situation or finding the subjects to be gone upon arrival.
  • Alarm drops were reported on multiple occasions, many of which were determined to be false alarms or canceled prior to officers’ arrival at the scene.
  • Domestic disputes were addressed on multiple occasions, including on Caroline Ct. and Mingo St., with the majority of those incidents cleared without further reports.

Throughout the weekend, the department handled a total of 94 calls, with a mix of resolved incidents and ongoing investigations. Officers also continued their routine business checks, ensuring local establishments were secure.
