Chillicothe, OH – An accidental shooting is under investigation following an incident early this morning in Chillicothe. At approximately 5:39 a.m. on November 28, 2024, officers responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound at a residence near East Water Street.
Upon arrival, police determined that the injury was accidental and self-inflicted. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center for treatment. As of this afternoon, the victim is listed in stable condition.
The Chillicothe Police Department has initiated an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have not released further details as the investigation continues.
