Chillicothe, OH – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Chillicothe Post is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on US 35 in Ross County late Thursday evening.
The crash happened on November 29, 2024, at approximately 10:17 p.m., near milepost 16. According to the Highway Patrol, a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, driven by 58-year-old Slavisa Jovanovic of Western Springs, Illinois, was traveling westbound on US 35 when the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a tree and came to rest.
Jovanovic was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Union Township EMS. Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office and Union Township EMS assisted at the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
No further details have been released at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
