UPDATE – Structure Fire Claims Nine Dogs in Ross County

ROSS COUNTY, Ohio – A devastating structure fire erupted in the 400 block of Allen Road on the afternoon of December 6, prompting a swift response from emergency personnel. Deputies Tatman, Nott, Dutcher, Woodbridge, and Sgt. Champion from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene around 3:06 p.m.

Initial reports indicated the possibility of residents trapped inside the burning home. However, upon arrival, authorities determined that no individuals were inside the structure. Firefighters worked diligently to extinguish the flames, but tragically, nine dogs perished in the fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Local authorities and the fire department are continuing to assess the situation.
