Circleville Police Report: Domestic Incidents, Traffic Stops, and Investigations Highlight Daily Activity

The Circleville Police Department reported a series of incidents on December 17, 2024, including domestic disputes, traffic stops, disturbances, and well-being checks.

The day began at 4:19 a.m. with a well-being check on Atwater Avenue. Officers cleared the call without issue. Shortly after, at 5:01 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic trouble on Lancaster Pike, with a report taken. At 7:47 a.m., officers investigated a threat/harassment complaint on East Franklin Street.

Later that morning, officers responded to a civil problem on West Mound Street and a parking complaint on East Mound Street. At 10:56 a.m., an alarm drop on South Court Street was checked and deemed okay. Further, officers handled a carbon monoxide call on South Pickaway Street at 1:34 p.m., ensuring the safety of the involved party.

Traffic stops also kept officers busy on December 17. A traffic stop on South Washington Street at 1:56 p.m. resulted in the issuance of a citation, while warnings were issued during other traffic stops on Mingo Street, US Route 23, and South Court Street later in the day.

One notable incident came at 3:31 p.m. when officers arrested an individual in a domestic dispute on East Main Street. Authorities also investigated a disturbance on US Route 23 at 4:33 p.m. and responded to a suspicious circumstances call on South Pickaway Street at 2:57 p.m., which was checked and found to be okay.

Later in the evening, at 9:12 p.m., officers responded to a theft report on Third Avenue. Officers also handled a civil matter related to threats/harassment on Sycamore Drive at 9:46 p.m., with additional responses to a domestic dispute on Walnut Street.

The day concluded with officers investigating a warrant-related matter on East Main Street at 11:30 p.m.

Across the 31 recorded calls on December 17, Circleville Police addressed a variety of incidents, including well-being checks, disturbances, threats, parking complaints, and traffic-related concerns. Despite a busy day of police work, all calls were managed effectively, maintaining public safety across the community.
