Chillicothe, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to multiple incidents on December 18, 2024, ranging from thefts and drug overdoses to traffic violations and criminal trespass. Here are some of the notable calls:

  • Traffic Stops and Violations
    Several traffic stops led to citations and investigations on December 18. Officers stopped vehicles for various violations, including failure to display both plates and obstructed license plates. Notably, a stop at Washington Avenue at 3:28 AM involved a driver with suspended licenses and other issues, and a stop at N. Bridge Street at 12:42 PM led to a theft investigation.
    A stop on Elm Street at 4:17 PM resulted in charges for possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse.
  • Theft and Shoplifting Incidents
    Officers were dispatched to N. Bridge Street and Rural King at 3:26 PM regarding thefts without consent. Another theft at Dollar General on E. Main Street at 6:10 PM remains under investigation. Additionally, a suspect was caught shoplifting at a local store at 6:10 PM.

    On December 18, police responded to multiple drug overdoses. A report was filed for a drug overdose on E. 4th Street at 6:08 PM. An endangering children case was also reported at 8:54 PM on Cox Avenue as part of a welfare check investigation.
  • Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct
    A criminal trespass case was reported at Safford Avenue at 10:01 AM, and a disorderly conduct case at Walnut Hills Drive at 1:16 PM involved potential fighting or threatening. A similar criminal trespass case was reported at 7:10 PM on N. Paint Street.
