NEW YORK (January 7, 2025) — The Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) have officially kicked off the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie® season, marking the return of fan-favorite flavors and the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey for Girl Scouts nationwide. The new season is a chance for young girls to enhance their business skills while selling the iconic cookies, supporting their personal growth, and helping them “unbox brighter futures.”

This year’s cookie lineup includes a variety of beloved flavors such as Thin Mints®, Samoas®/Caramel deLites®, Peanut Butter Patties®/Tagalongs®, and more. However, the 2025 season also brings bittersweet news for cookie lovers. Two popular cookies, Girl Scout S’mores® and Toast-Yay!®, will be retired at the end of the season. Fans of these treats have one final chance to enjoy them before they’re gone, either by visiting local cookie booths or ordering from a Girl Scout’s Digital Cookie® link. Availability will vary depending on location.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for girls, and it helps girls develop essential life skills such as goal setting, money management, decision-making, people skills, and business ethics. Through cookie sales, Girl Scouts build confidence, gain leadership experience, and earn badges, including Cookie Business, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneur badges. These skills are invaluable as they grow into strong leaders who make a positive impact in their communities.

“Girl Scout Cookie season is about so much more than selling the iconic cookies people know and love,” said Wendy Lou, Chief Revenue Officer of GSUSA. “The funds girls earn throughout the season directly power their journeys in leadership, entrepreneurship, and community building. The sweet success of each sale is a testament to how much girls can change the world when they put their minds to it.”

The funds raised during the cookie season stay with local Girl Scout councils and troops, providing opportunities for girls to participate in activities such as summer camps, exciting trips, service projects, and more. Girl Scout Cookie season runs nationally from January through April, although local timing may vary. To support your local Girl Scouts, either contact a registered Girl Scout you know or visit www.girlscoutcookies.org to find a booth near you. Starting February 21, you can also order cookies directly to your home through the website.

If you’re eager to indulge in your favorite cookies or help a local Girl Scout reach her sales goals, you can also text COOKIES to 59618 to receive updates and notifications throughout the season.

The 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season is not just about the sweet treats; it’s about empowering young girls to grow into the leaders of tomorrow, one cookie at a time.
