CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) responded to several incidents throughout the city on January 10, 2025. Below is a summary of the significant cases handled by the department:
- Traffic Stop & Drug Investigation (1:40 AM, E. Main St.)
Officers initiated a traffic stop on a white Mazda 3. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. - Criminal Trespass (5:47 AM, 1111 E. Main St.)
CPD responded to a trespassing report. The details of the incident are under investigation. - Traffic Violation (8:13 AM, Orange St.)
Officers investigated a vehicle driving in marked and continuous lines. The matter is still being reviewed. - Warrant Arrest & Unresponsive Male (9:44 AM, N. Bridge St.)
Police were called to a vehicle on N. Bridge Street where a male was found unresponsive. Further investigation into the situation is pending. - Unruly Child (11:03 AM, Cheyenne Dr.)
Officers responded to a call regarding an unruly juvenile on Cheyenne Drive. The investigation is ongoing. - Accident Investigation (11:56 AM, W. Main St.)
CPD was dispatched to a minor accident at the intersection of E. Main and Walnut Streets. The investigation is continuing. - Missing Person (12:00 PM, Church St.)
Authorities responded to a report of missing persons related to unruly juveniles. Investigations are still ongoing. - Drug Disposal (2:17 PM, Columbus St.)
A call regarding a drug disposal was reported in the 900 block of Columbus Street. - Motor Vehicle Accident (3:31 PM, N. Bridge St. & Marietta St.)
Officers were dispatched to investigate a motor vehicle accident. The case is under investigation. - Traffic Stop, License Violation & Warrant Arrest (5:22 PM, N. Bridge St.)
A traffic stop resulted in the discovery of a motorist operating without a valid license, as well as a pending warrant. - Warrant Arrest (6:16 PM, 300 Block of E. 2nd St.)
Katherine Knight, wanted for failure to appear in court, was apprehended after being observed at a local McDonald’s. She was arrested and transported to the police department without incident. She was issued a summons to appear in court on January 17, 2025. - Warrant Served (7:04 PM, N. Paint St.)
A summons for a theft-related warrant was served to Kirk Birchum in Greenfield. Birchum was advised of his court appearance scheduled for January 13, 2025.
