CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe police responded to several incidents throughout the day on January 12, 2025, including thefts, trespassing, and traffic violations.

At 12:28 AM, a traffic stop on North Bridge Street led to the discovery of multiple violations, including driving under suspension for fraud and random verification suspension, as well as expired tags.

Around 2:09 AM, officers responded to a theft at 61 N. Bridge St., where a shoplifting incident was reported. The investigation is ongoing.

At 3:39 AM, officers were dispatched to the Valero gas station at 61 N. Bridge St. regarding an active trespass. This situation later resulted in additional charges, including obstructing official business.

Later that morning, at 3:56 AM, officers were called to a 911 hang-up on South Paint Street. The disturbance was resolved, but further details were not provided.

In the afternoon, at 4:18 PM, a traffic stop on East Water Street resulted in a citation related to license plate and validation sticker issues. Then, at 5:13 PM, officers responded to a trespassing complaint at 639 E. Water St.

A second theft incident was reported at 5:47 PM at 1251 N. Bridge St., and the investigation continues. Just minutes later, at 5:51 PM, a dog-related complaint was investigated at 144 Scioto Ave. involving concerns over dangerous dog registration and confinement.

Finally, at 6:51 PM, officers were dispatched to 395 E. Fifth St. regarding a potential theft. The case remains under investigation.
