Tish Chenoweth, known to many students as Ms. Tish, WMS Administrative Assistant, was recently recognized with the 2025 Ohio Recognizing Inspirational School Employees (RISE) Award! This prestigious award, created by Congress in 2019 and overseen by the U.S. Department of Education, celebrates classified school employees who provide exemplary service to their schools, students, colleagues, and communities. Two candidates are selected from thousands of exceptional individuals each year for this national recognition.Tish receiving award

Ms. Tish’s recognition reflects her commitment to promoting a positive and supportive environment within our school community. Her contributions extend far beyond the expectations of her role. In addition to being a phenomenal administrative assistant for Westfall Middle School, she is an integral part of our district leadership team, organizing back-to-school events for families. She leads the staff climate committee, ensuring that every staff member feels valued and supported, and she coordinates the building PBIS program, which promotes positive school culture.

Beyond the school day, Ms. Tish serves the Westfall District by restocking local food pantries, organizing Thanksgiving dinners for families, ensuring students have warm coats each winter, and assisting with Westfall Cares, which helped feed over 200 families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her dedication is a source of inspiration to others in the field, exemplifying the profound impact of hard work and selflessness.
