The Chillicothe Police Department responded to several incidents throughout the day on January 15, 2025, covering a range of offenses. Below are some of the notable calls and investigations:

  • Traffic Stops: Officers conducted routine traffic stops on East Main Street near 2nd Street at 8:30 a.m., and on North Bridge Street near Water Street at 8:48 a.m. In both cases, officers observed unobstructed license plates.
  • Disorderly Conduct: At 8:41 a.m., officers responded to a report of a person down at 66 Zander Drive. The investigation is ongoing. Another report of disorderly conduct was investigated later in the evening at 9:04 p.m. on East Water Street, where officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute.
  • Theft Reports: Multiple theft cases were reported, including a theft without consent at the Law Enforcement Complex at 11:36 a.m., and another at Champs on North Bridge Street at 12:06 p.m. A third theft without consent was reported at the Law Enforcement Complex at 12:37 p.m. Investigation continues in all cases.
  • Drug Overdose: A drug overdose was reported at 12:54 p.m. on Scioto Avenue. Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
  • Warrants: Officers served a warrant at 1:18 p.m. on North Paint Street. Later, at 5:27 p.m., another warrant was served at 317 Old Eastern Avenue, where officers responded to a domestic dispute. The case remains under investigation.
  • Traffic Incidents: Officers made a traffic stop on South Douglas Avenue at 6:03 p.m. involving a suspected OVI (Operating a Vehicle under the Influence) case. Another stop for an improper turn and failure to signal occurred at 7:03 p.m. on Columbus Street.
  • Criminal Trespass and Mischief: Officers responded to a report of criminal trespassing and criminal mischief at 1081 Diehl Street at 8:15 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Domestic Dispute: At 9:04 p.m., officers were dispatched to East Water Street for a domestic dispute. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Final Theft Report: A theft without consent was reported at McDonald’s on East Main Street at 10:34 p.m. The investigation continues.
