COLUMBUS, Ohio — January 20, 2025 — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has issued a proclamation directing that the flags of the United States and the state of Ohio be flown at full-staff on January 20, 2025, in honor of the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
Following the inauguration, Governor DeWine has also ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff on January 21, 2025, in remembrance of former President James Earl Carter, Jr., who passed away. The flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on January 28, 2025, as a mark of respect for the late president.
This gesture aligns with the nation’s ongoing tributes to both the new administration and the life and service of President Carter.
