CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department handled a range of incidents between January 17 and 20, 2025, with officers responding to calls including traffic stops, domestic disturbances, thefts, and a series of well-being checks.
A suspicious person was reported on East Mill Street in the early hours of January 17, but officers were unable to locate the individual. Shortly after, a traffic stop was conducted on South Court Street, with a warning issued.
Throughout the day, officers responded to several alarm drops, all of which were checked and confirmed to be okay. At 9:10 a.m., police were called to North Court Street for a non-injury accident, and a report was taken. Later, at 3:23 p.m., another accident occurred on North Court Street, this time involving a hit-and-run, and a report was filed.
Police were also busy with domestic-related incidents, including a disturbance on West Huston Street at 1:15 p.m., and a domestic issue reported at 6:16 p.m. on John Street. Both situations led to reports being taken. Another domestic disturbance occurred on South Pickaway Street on January 18 at 1:14 p.m.
Theft and property damage reports were also a notable part of the calls. At 10:09 p.m. on January 17, a theft was reported on Atwater Avenue, and a report was taken. A property damage report was filed later that evening at 7:04 p.m. on Lancaster Pike.
There were several noise complaints and well-being checks over the weekend, including incidents at Logan Street, Island Road, and East Mill Street. A number of 911 hang-up calls were reported, but investigations revealed no issues, as the calls were cleared after being checked.
Traffic enforcement remained a key priority, with several stops conducted throughout the reporting period. Officers issued multiple warnings and citations for various traffic offenses, including a stop at 5:55 p.m. on January 18 for a traffic violation on South Court Street.
In other notable calls, officers investigated a dog bite incident on Sunnyview Drive, taking a report at 5:18 p.m. on January 19, and a juvenile complaint was filed on East Mill Street later that evening.
