CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents on January 27, 2025, addressing everything from thefts and assaults to traffic violations and drug-related offenses.
Assault at E 4th Street
At 2:01 AM, officers were dispatched to 252 E 4th Street in response to an assault call. Details of the incident remain under investigation.
Theft Incidents
Two separate thefts were reported earlier in the day. The first was at 2:38 AM on S Mulberry Street, followed by a second theft call at 12:22 PM at Houch’s on E Main Street. Both cases are under investigation.
Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
At 2:44 AM, officers stopped a vehicle on S Watt Street and arrested an individual for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Domestic Disturbances and Trespassing
A disturbance was reported at 7:12 AM on Washington Avenue, and later, a trespassing incident occurred on N Bridge Street at 12:40 PM. Both cases were investigated by police.
Traffic Stops and Violations
A number of traffic-related incidents occurred throughout the day. Officers issued citations for improper parking on N Watt Street at 10:33 AM, failure to signal on S Bridge Street at 7:56 PM, and failure to yield during a left turn on E Main Street at 11:38 PM.
Criminal Charges and Warrants
Police also responded to a domestic violence call at 1:47 PM on Diehl Street, where an arrest was made, and a warrant was issued for the suspect. At 4:11 PM, a traffic stop resulted in a citation for a driver with a suspended license due to unpaid child support fines.
Hit-Skip and Assault Incidents
A hit-skip accident was reported at 3:01 PM at the Dollar General parking lot on N Bridge Street. Officers are continuing their investigation into the incident. At 5:51 PM, police were also called to E 8th Street where a domestic violence-related assault was reported.
Drug Possession and Paraphernalia
A drug paraphernalia and possession case was reported after officers stopped a black 2003 SAAB sedan for failure to signal on S Bridge Street at 7:56 PM. Several charges were filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
Accidents and Crashes
At 5:28 PM, a crash occurred on N Sugar Street at E Water Street. Officers also investigated another rear-end collision at 10:29 PM on N Bridge Street involving two vehicles. One driver, Jadelynn Mann, was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead (ACDA).
