Pickaway County, Ohio (January 25, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Tarlton Adelphi and South Perry Road left two individuals seriously injured, one of whom was unresponsive at the scene. Emergency crews responded quickly around 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, to provide immediate assistance.
According to first responder reports, one of the injured was found unresponsive, while the second victim, a female in the other vehicle, also sustained serious injuries. Both victims were promptly extricated and transported by medical helicopters to Grant Medical Center. The helicopters, Medflight and Air Evac, flew the injured women in serious condition.
Local authorities shut down the intersection for a crash reconstruction to investigate the cause of the incident.
Authorities have identified the vehicles involved: Unit 1, a 2015 Ford Explorer, was driven by Michelle Guess, who was traveling west on South Perry Road at the time of the collision. Unit 2, a 2021 Jeep Gladiator, was driven by Roberta Steiger and was traveling south on Tarlton Adelphi Road.
According to the preliminary investigation, Tarlton Adelphi Road does not have a stop sign, giving Steiger’s Jeep the right of way. Guess, driving the Ford Explorer, failed to yield and entered the roadway from the left, striking the Jeep. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, which came to a rest off the roadway.
