Circleville Police Respond to 152 Incidents Over Five Days

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to 152 calls for service between January 29 and February 2, 2025. The reports included a variety of incidents such as traffic stops, thefts, suspicious activity, domestic disturbances, and warrant attempts.

Traffic Enforcement & Stops

Officers conducted multiple traffic stops throughout the city, issuing citations and warnings. Several stops resulted in citations, including ones on Clinton Street (January 29), East High Street (January 31), and East Ohio Street (February 2). Additionally, officers responded to a hit-and-run accident on Mowrer Road on January 29 and another on Sycamore Drive on January 31.

Theft & Fraud Cases

Several thefts were reported, including incidents on Clinton Street and Faye Avenue on January 29, Town Street on January 30, and Lancaster Pike on February 2. A fraud case was documented on Pacer Court on January 30.

Suspicious Activity & Well-Being Checks

Police responded to multiple calls regarding suspicious persons and vehicles. Notable incidents occurred on North Pickaway Street on January 29, US 23 on January 30, and Hillcrest Drive on February 1. Officers also conducted numerous well-being checks, all of which were confirmed safe, including those on East Main Street, East Ohio Street, and South Court Street.

Domestic Disturbances & Threats

Domestic-related incidents were reported on East Mound Street on January 29, Highland Avenue and Franklin Street on January 31, and Lancaster Pike on February 2. Threats and harassment reports were taken on East Ohio Street on January 29 and South Pickaway Street on February 2.

Other Significant Incidents

  • Trespassing: Officers responded to trespassing calls on US 23 and East Mound Street on January 29.
  • Drunk Drivers: Reports of impaired driving were made on John Street (January 29) and West High Street (February 1), though officers were unable to locate the vehicles.
  • Fire & Emergency Calls: Circleville Fire Department was requested for mutual aid on January 31 and February 2, both incidents being contained without major injuries.
  • Arrests: An arrest was made on Watt Street for a traffic offense on February 2.

Throughout the five-day period, officers also handled multiple 911 hang-ups, noise complaints, and property-related incidents.
