CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents across the city on February 4, 2025, including reports of disorderly conduct, domestic violence, theft, and traffic violations.
Authorities were called to a trespassing complaint at Speedway on North Bridge Street shortly after midnight, where an individual was cited for disorderly conduct due to intoxication. Later, a domestic dispute on Toledo Street prompted police intervention, with an investigation ongoing.
Several traffic-related incidents were reported, including stops for driving while texting, speeding, and operating a vehicle without a valid license. Officers also responded to a warrant service on North Paint Street and a failure to stay in marked lanes on East Main and Bridge Street.
Theft remained a concern, with multiple reports throughout the day. Officers were dispatched to East Second Street for a theft complaint, while later in the evening, a suspect was taken into custody at Kroger on North Bridge Street for an active warrant related to a previous theft case. Shoplifting was reported at Rural King, and additional theft incidents occurred on Douglas Avenue and River Trace Lane.
A suspected drug overdose on West Second Street required emergency response, while an assault case on Yoctangee Parkway involved a juvenile. Additionally, a violation of a protection order on Ashley Drive is under active investigation.
