Another Plane Crash This One in Southern Ohio

NEW LEXINGTON, OH – A Cirrus SR22 aircraft crashed while attempting to land near Perry County Airport on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries to both the pilot and a passenger.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:23 p.m., just west of the runway. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, assessing and treating the two individuals on board. Both victims, residents of Delaware, OH, were transported to Genesis Healthcare Systems in Zanesville for further evaluation. Their names have not yet been released, pending family notification.

Authorities, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), have been notified and will be conducting a full investigation into the cause of the crash.
