WAVERLY, OH – A 25-year-old EMT from Pike County was tragically killed in a head-on collision late Sunday night.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Route 220 near Industrial Park Drive at 11:37 p.m. on February 2, 2025.
Authorities say Logan J. Warren, of Waverly, Ohio, was driving southbound in a 2017 Dodge Challenger when John Moore, 37, of South Webster, Ohio, crossed left of center in his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, striking Warren’s vehicle head-on.
Warren succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Moore was transported to Adena Pike Medical Center before being transferred to Grant Medical Center for further treatment.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, with impairment suspected on Moore as a contributing factor. Additional updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
Honoring a Dedicated First Responder
Logan Warren was a full-time and part-time firefighter/AEMT with the Huntington Township Fire Department and also worked for MedCare Ambulance. Colleagues remember him as a dedicated public servant, beloved friend, and brother who was deeply committed to his community.
“He served our residents and co-workers more than anyone could ask,” the department said in a statement. “To many, he was a friend, co-worker, brother, and family.”
Warren leaves behind a loving family, many friends, and an impeccable career in emergency services.
