CIRCLEVILLE, OH – Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey has provided an update on an ongoing investigation into online threats directed at Circleville Elementary School students.
The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the threats by school administrators, who reported that the threats originated from a specific TikTok account. Detectives worked closely with school officials, securing search warrants that led to the seizure of evidence and the interviewing of multiple students.
Authorities have since identified the juvenile suspect behind the TikTok account responsible for the threats. The investigation remains active, with the Pickaway County Prosecutor’s Office continuing to work on the case in the coming days.
All students and families involved have been notified, and Sheriff Hafey expressed gratitude to Circleville Elementary administrators and the investigative team for their dedication and cooperation throughout the process.
