Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents on February 12

CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department handled a range of incidents on February 12, 2025, including traffic stops, theft, disorderly conduct, and multiple warrant arrests.

Notable Incidents:

  • Traffic Stops & Suspensions:
    • Officers conducted a traffic stop on Clay Street at 12:22 a.m. for a random verification suspension.
    • Additional traffic stops occurred throughout the day, including one on N. Bridge Street at 4:04 p.m., where an individual was cited for driving under suspension (DUS).
  • Theft Investigation:
    • Officers responded to a theft complaint at 1111 E. Main St. (Pilot gas station) at 3:07 a.m.. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Disorderly Conduct Reports:
    • Authorities were called to 169 Scioto Avenue at 6:39 a.m. for a disturbance.
    • Another disorderly conduct incident occurred at Lincoln Park on W. 7th Street at 3:32 p.m.
  • Criminal Mischief & Property Incidents:
    • Police were dispatched to Plyleys Lane at 8:12 a.m. for a burglary-related incident that remains under investigation.
    • A property damage crash report was taken on Western Avenue at 4:25 p.m. after a driver failed to stay in marked lanes.
  • Warrant Arrests:
    • Multiple individuals with outstanding warrants were arrested throughout the day:
      • N. Paint St. at 12:33 p.m. – Warrant served.
      • Eastern Ave. at 4:53 p.m. – George Lowery was arrested for a probation violation (PV) on a criminal mischief charge.
      • McKeller St. at 6:11 p.m. – Carlos Beverly was taken into custody for failure to appear (FTA) on an obstruction charge and given a new court date.
      • N. Bridge St. at 10:04 p.m. – Cleasha Sheetz was arrested on a warrant.
  • Non-Suspicious Death:
    • Officers responded to Pine Street at 1:15 p.m. for a medical issue that resulted in a non-suspicious death. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Expired Registration:
    • A driver on N. Bridge Street at 10:10 p.m. was cited for an expired plate and validation sticker.
