The Pickaway County Health Department has introduced a new initiative aimed at providing critical support to individuals who have experienced an overdose. The Pickaway Overdose Response Team (PORT) is designed to offer follow-up care, connect overdose survivors with essential services, and ensure coordinated care to reduce the number of overdoses in Pickaway County.
A Lifesaving Initiative
PORT is a collaborative effort between Pickaway County Public Health, law enforcement, EMS, recovery agencies, and community organizations. The program takes a harm reduction approach, working to provide overdose prevention education, treatment referrals, and social support to those struggling with substance use.

According to the Ohio Department of Health, PORT programs have been active since 2019, using law enforcement data and public records to identify and assist individuals who have survived nonfatal overdoses. These teams not only address immediate health needs but also help with long-term challenges such as healthcare access, housing stability, employment, and family support.
A Community-Wide Effort
Tiffany Singer, PORT Coordinator, encourages residents to share information about the program to help reach those in need. “We are committed to saving lives and supporting individuals on their journey to recovery,” she said.
For more information or to make a referral, community members can scan the QR code provided in the official PORT materials or contact Tiffany Singer directly at 740-819-3643 or [email protected]. The PORT office is located at 110 Island Road Suite C, Circleville, Ohio 43113.
