LANCASTER, OH – Authorities are investigating the discovery of a deceased male found floating in the Hocking River near the 400 block of West Sixth Avenue.
According to the Lancaster Police Department, a 911 call was received at approximately 2:08 p.m. reporting the presence of an unidentified body in the river.
Officers from the Lancaster Police Department, along with the Lancaster Fire Department, responded to the scene and confirmed the presence of a deceased male.
The Lancaster Police Department’s Detective Bureau and the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
