Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents in Daily Report

Chillicothe, OH – February 25, 2025 – The Chillicothe Police Department released its daily media report detailing a range of incidents that occurred on February 24, 2025. Officers responded to reports of criminal mischief, domestic violence, theft, breaking and entering, and two separate cases of rape. Several traffic stops also resulted in citations for expired plates, warrants, and license violations.

Notable Incidents:

  • Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Investigation: A traffic stop on a blue Kia led officers to investigate possible warrants and obstruction of official business. The case remains under investigation.
  • Vandalism on East Main Street: Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief after a vehicle’s windows were found smashed.
  • Hit-and-Run Incident: A suspect attempted to evade police after spotting a marked cruiser, leading to a traffic stop and an ongoing investigation.
  • Sexual Assault Reports: Detectives are investigating two separate reports of rape—one reported by a SANE nurse at Adena Regional Medical Center and another at McArthur Gardens.
  • Burglary Cases: Police are investigating two breaking and entering incidents—one on East 2nd Street and another on North Bridge Street.
  • Theft at Walmart: Officers responded to a reported theft at the River Trace Lane Walmart.
  • Disorderly Conduct at Pilot: A truck driver allegedly brandished a gun at a security guard, prompting an investigation.

Police are continuing investigations into multiple cases, including extortion involving a juvenile and a domestic violence incident reported at an intermediate school.
