CIRCLEVILLE, OH – Former University of Kentucky basketball standout Cameron Mills is set to bring a message of faith and inspiration to Heritage Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, March 2, during the 9 AM and 11 AM worship services. The event will take place at 2264 Walnut Creek Pike, Circleville, Ohio 43113.

Mills, a Kentucky native, lived out a dream by following in his father’s footsteps and playing for the University of Kentucky Wildcats from 1994 to 1998. As part of a powerhouse team, he competed in three NCAA Final Fours and helped secure two National Championships—defeating Syracuse in 1996 and Utah in 1998. Known for his sharpshooting ability, Mills remains the UK all-time leader in three-point percentage for both a career (47.4%) and a single season (53.2%).

Since his collegiate career ended in 1998, Mills has dedicated himself to ministry, founding Cameron Mills Ministries, a nonprofit organization focused on spreading the message of faith, grace, and perseverance. Now in its 25th year, his ministry takes him across the country, where he shares how his personal journey—including failures, struggles, and triumphs—has been shaped by his faith in Jesus Christ.

Drawing on experiences from his time under legendary coaches Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith, Mills delivers a relatable and impactful message centered on the importance of teamwork, overcoming adversity, and the power of faith.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Cameron Mills to Heritage Church of the Nazarene on this special day,” said David Tripp, Nextgen Pastor at Heritage. “Cameron’s story of perseverance, faith, and the importance of a strong foundation will resonate with people of all ages. We are closing out our Upward Basketball and Cheerleading season after church, so Cameron speaking on the same day will fit in perfectly. We believe his message will be a source of encouragement and inspiration for not only our church and Upward Sports families but the people of our community as well.”

Mills’ visit is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. Whether a sports fan, a person of faith, or someone seeking motivation, attendees can expect a powerful and uplifting experience.
