Columbus, OH – The Ohio National Guard announced this week that it is reviewing and adjusting its social media content to comply with new federal guidelines issued by the Department of Defense (DoD) and recent executive orders from President Trump.

Following the implementation of DoD Instruction 5400.17, the Ohio National Guard is removing or modifying certain posts to ensure alignment with federal policies and priorities. This directive, which affects military agencies nationwide, mandates that all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) content be removed by Wednesday. Agencies that fail to comply must temporarily take down all articles, photos, and videos published during the Biden Administration.

In a public statement, the Ohio National Guard emphasized its commitment to transparency, professionalism, and adherence to DoD directives, stating that these actions are necessary to maintain federal compliance.

The changes come as military branches across the country implement the new Defense Department policy, adjusting their communications to align with the latest federal orders.
