Chillicothe Police Respond to Thefts, Traffic Stops, and Accidents in March 11 Report

CHILLICOTHE, OH – Law enforcement officers in Chillicothe had a busy day on March 11, 2025, responding to a variety of calls, including thefts, traffic incidents, and disturbances, according to the latest media report.

Early Morning Activity:
The day began with multiple theft reports on W. Franklin Street, with officers unable to locate a suspect at 12:12 AM but later determining everything was in order at 1:04 AM. Several traffic stops occurred throughout the early morning, with officers issuing warnings on S. Scioto Street and S. Court Street. At 2:31 AM, officers took a report of threats and harassment on W. Franklin Street.

Shortly after, at 3:29 AM, officers checked on a suspicious person on N. Scioto Street, finding no cause for concern. By 5:04 AM, a domestic disturbance on W. Ohio Street led to a report being filed. Property damage was also reported at 5:39 AM on S. Pickaway Street.

Midday Incidents:
The morning saw traffic stops and extra patrols, with officers responding to a theft on S. Court Street at 10:01 AM. At 12:41 PM, a non-injury accident was reported on U.S. 23, while later in the afternoon, an injury crash on State Route 104 at 2:37 PM resulted in emergency response efforts.

Afternoon and Evening Calls:
Among the notable calls later in the day, officers investigated a dog bite on Renick Avenue at 3:58 PM, a hit-and-run accident on W. Main Street at 4:45 PM, and a disturbance on Lancaster Pike at 6:25 PM.

A juvenile complaint on Rustic Drive at 7:25 PM was checked and found to be okay. Meanwhile, at 9:02 PM, a traffic stop on E. Main Street resulted in a citation. Shortly after, officers responded to an accidental 911 call on Pleasant Street and a hang-up call on Chatham Road, both of which were determined to be non-emergencies.

In total, Chillicothe officers handled 35 reported incidents throughout the day, ensuring safety and maintaining order across the city.
