Washington, D.C. – March 14, 2025 – President Donald J. Trump has issued a new Executive Order rescinding a series of Biden-era policies, marking the second wave of rollbacks aimed at what the administration calls “harmful executive actions.”
This latest order revokes more than a dozen executive orders, presidential memoranda, and national security directives issued under former President Joe Biden, covering topics such as COVID-19 response, worker rights, minimum wage for federal contractors, energy policy, and national security.
Key Policies Rescinded:
- COVID-19 Response – Revocation of Executive Order 13994, which guided a data-driven response to the pandemic.
- Worker Wages & Labor Rights – Elimination of Executive Order 14026, which raised the minimum wage for federal contractors, and other labor-related directives.
- Energy & Manufacturing – Reversal of presidential determinations that allocated federal resources for renewable energy projects like solar panels, heat pumps, and insulation under the Defense Production Act.
- LGBTQ+ Rights Abroad – Cancellation of a memorandum advocating for the human rights of LGBTQ+ individuals worldwide.
- Apprenticeships & Job Training – Repeal of an order expanding registered apprenticeships and promoting labor-management forums in the federal government.
- Tribal Relations – Rescinding Executive Order 14112, which reformed federal funding and support for Tribal Nations.
President Trump’s Justification
The administration framed the move as part of a broader effort to restore “common sense” governance and unleash the full potential of American citizens. This follows Trump’s January 20 order, which revoked 78 previous executive actions from the Biden administration.
What’s Next?
The repealed orders could have major implications on federal labor laws, energy investments, and international diplomacy. Critics argue the move undoes key protections for workers, climate initiatives, and minority rights, while supporters say it eliminates costly regulations and federal overreach.
As President Trump continues his push to reverse Biden-era policies, further executive actions and legislative battles are expected in the coming months.
