
Circleville, OH – Authorities are actively searching for a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery at a local Sonoco gas station Wednesday evening.
According to the Circleville Police Department, around 6:30 p.m., a man dressed in all black entered the Sonoco, pointed a firearm at an employee, and demanded cash from the register. Shortly after, the suspect fled the scene.
Police issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert and conducted a search of the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Just two hours later, a man matching the same description attempted to rob two separate Marathon gas stations in Marysville. Police are investigating whether the incidents are connected.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in any of the robbery attempts. Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information to contact the Circleville Police Department or local authorities.
